What if a pilot just happens to like flying and wants to stay. Why do "younger" pilots have such a hard time with that concept. When work ceases to be enjoyable then I will look to move on. How many of us get the itch after being away for a few weeks? Don't say "buy your own airplane" because you know its not the same

No bait. It's true. Not that 67+ will happen, but the company FED said it would. We'll see.

I'm against it by the way.

#1 rule of rumors: if someone tells you its a done deal, it will never happen.

After flying the jet, I look forward to flying something low and slow. Something with floats. Or a tailwheel. Or a 152. With family. To breakfasts. To my favorite small airports and grass strips. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????

The two worst sources for rumors:

1) Check Airmen

2) Feds

(OTOH, if José on the catering truck says he heard something, I perk up my ears...)

Heard the 717s were a done deal (coming to DAL)a long time before it actually happened.

Almost always? ;) I never heard the phrase "done deal" with it, though. Just that things were in the works.
