2004 payrates
 

Anyone have the 2004 NWA payrates for 747? Threw away my old contracts and cant remember what is was. How do they compare per centagewise with new contract

9/03 273.15
12/04 232.18
12/05 176.69

7/12 234.78
1/13 254.74
1/14 262.38
1/15 270.28....twelve years later still not back to the '04 rates

Almost there. Only $3 off. Remember, inflation does not exist when negotiating contracts. There is no such thing as a COLA to ALPA. A 3 percent raise is always sold as a 3 percent increase in spending power.

And just think how much better you will do when you go over to SWA...

I would trade your seniority for a captain's seat at Southwest. Unfortunately, I wouldn't trade my seniority for a new hire spot at Southwest so I'm stuck. Does it not bother you at all that 12 years later, we are still making less than the inferior NWA contract was paying?

It would bother me if there were a substantial portion of the industry that was making more. There's not. We are leading. Sitting behind your keyboard, you have the luxury to cherry pick the best of everybody else's contract, and declare ours an abysmal failure since it doesn't meet that expectation. Get in touch with reality son.

And I wouldn't trade places with the number 1 SWA pilot.

Why on earth did you guys take so many cuts prior to bankruptcy in '05???

Trying to save the company from bankruptcy. Turns out the bk judge doesn't care what you gave prior to bk... DL guys found that out, too.

All legacies gave multiple concessions to try and keep their company out of bankruptcy. The theory was if your company goes bankrupt, you lose your pension. It was pretty much true. Unfortunately, they all went into bankruptcy anyway and those per-bankruptcy give-backs were for nothing. The pensions were restructured and then more give-backs were expected in bankruptcy. It was a big failure on ALPA's fault. ALPA should have realized the companies were all going bankrupt and never given back a cent outside of bankruptcy. The American pilots gave back 23 percent and told the company that was it. They actually were serious unlike some other pilot groups.

Thank god freight isn't part of your industry.:rolleyes:
