Kinda what I was thinking. If you don't like the hat, refuse to wear it, then please do not apply to Delta. You will be required to wear one. Nothing more irritating that having to listen to someone pontificate about having to wear the hat, even though they knew the uniform requirements before accepting the job.

Just because you agreed to the uniform standards during the interview doesn't mean you can't complain and do everything in your power to get it changed later on if it looks ridiculous. Which the hat definitely does.

Hey, there are a lot of things every one of us agreed to during the interview to get the job, that we absolutely don't agree with today. You really think I told the AA interviewers I'd be very involved with SPC activities?

Delta pilots, y'all are starting to look like Eastern European dinosaurs with the Aeroflotski hats... time to get with the times. Look around the world, most airlines have ditched the hat for a much more modern look.

A hat thread, amazing. At the big D hats are a required part of the uniform as are shoes, pants, etc. We will transition to no hats at some point in the future and then I will start pushing for flip flops, that's what most of our pax wear.

Well it's good to hear that you delta boyz enforce your stupid uniform while ** all over your comrades in ALPA, most recently Midwest Express. At least you have your "priorities" straight.

For an airline that hires many officers, there are few gentlemen.

Hey! Listen, DAL has come a long way, there was a time when they told you what shoes to wear..... Allen Edmonds Jodox, long discontinued, thank goodness. They hurt and were ugly, ugly, ugly.

I like the no pants option myself. Seriously, I'd lose the tie before the hat. I hate ties. Captain Kirk didn't wear a tie. Isn't this the 21st Century? ;)

More Delta pilots looking like true professionals wearing their hats.

Somebody's having a bad day. Get the story straight before you post crap like that and remember there are 2 sides to every view.

I'm lost. Please elaborate.

Screw hats, no one respects those anyway. What we need is badges. Kind of like the screeners only way mo betta.

Not only do they command respect, but by the time the public gets to us they've been poked, prodded, scanned and dominated by so many power tops with badges they won't dare disobey us, but if they do, we will call out more people, with even way better badges, to carry them off.
