Two newhire classes in the schoolhouse.

Two days of interviews this week for three or four December or January classes.

Aircraft deliveries for 2007 could be anywhere between 0 and 10. If 10 come on property, we will obviously have to hire around another 100. (or so, I'm not a staffing expert)

Good Luck,

The key point (for me at least), in skybolt's post:
"Aircraft deliveries for 2007 could be anywhere between 0 and 10."

What that tells me is that they have no clue what they are doing as far as next year (or at least keeping the working group in the dark). What happened to a new airplane every month. A 60 AC operation? For six years we have been hearing how we are going to grow, no we are going to close the doors, no we are going to REALLY grow, maybe a little...
The pilot group here is great (for the most part;) ) The management stinks, even with the new one(s).
Good part is new airplanes. Bad part, was delayed three hours out of SFO (red eye) because our NEW airplane had an electrical gremlin.
I keep telling everyone this, if it wasn't for the YEARLY(every year around Christmas) doom and gloom, I'd stay here until I retire or we are bought, or buy someone, merge...
That's why I am still keeping my fingers crossed for SWA (rumor has it my board meets this week), and if not, pushing the CAL thing (have 3 friends talk to the chief pilot in EWR).
