in market for new backpack

Guys, looking for new backpack, looking at this one in particular

Under 4 pounds (empty) and size is 14W X 22H X 8 Deep, total inches are 44 inches.

Do you think this one will be acceptable as a carry-on ?

Al, I realized my mistake as it will cause RJ-Backpack-mania,

Who cares? Based on your profile it doesn't seem like you fly for a regional anyway. I take a backpack on all my trips (most of my coworkers do too.) It's much more convenient than a laptop bag and when I get to a destination, an can empty my work stuff out of it and have a handy daypack for hiking, sightseeing, etc.

Mine is very similar to the second one you posted.

Looks good, but North Face always strikes me as a tad over priced.
