USAirways then and now...

First time poster, long time reader:

I am just a lowly RJ puke but I am curious if anyone at US has put pen to paper and figured out how much money and more days off they would have had over the past few YEARS. Eating that sogey (explitive deleted) sandwich that was offered them with the NIC ruling?

I'll take my reply offline.

They are a bunch of idiots who collectively have turned into the biggest scum this profession has ever seen, reason has no place in their psyche.

Pretty strong words boss. Do you characterize all USAirways (east) pilots this way or just the union reps? Do you say it to their faces? How about former USAirways pilots who have chosen to move on as opposed to eating the "(expletive deleted)" sandwich they have been served?

I put 90% of them in that category without reservation, just look at their voting record.

So the follow up question. Do you think that kind of an attitude will help to solve the differences or create more animosity?

I thought this thread would be more about USAirways nee America West, rather than a beoch session.

Lets see, back Then... Director of Training Lorn T. walking into the office on Friday Mornings which his tennis outfit two sizes to small. That little toad was trying to mount a fellow worker in the worst way. That was a good laugh or three.

I remember Norm S. Mgr of Sims, always saying "I don't knw what we are supposed to do". Poor guy... always had the deer in the head lights.

And oh yeah... Rob C. who was the chief pilot. His claim to fame was completing many NDB/VOR approaches in the Whale in such a short period of time.

I also remember climbing into the Dash 8 and flying off to the Grand Canyon for initial CRM training... Oh yeah... the memories live on.

Oh and the great Don M. who wound up going to TWA. Gave a new meaning to the term "Incompetence".

Gee I wonder what my seniority number would have been if I stayed with them being hired in 1990?

Don't know about the present as I took my voluntary leave in 1991.

Now where did I put that bottle of cognac.
