Okay my bad. How does it work then, B fund contributiion plus what % of profit sharing?

I was adding the 8% profit sharing announced in yesterday's conference call plus the new hire 13.5% B fund.

People were given an option of staying in the A plan with a small B fund contribution, freezing their A plan and taking a larger B fund contribution or going straight B fund.

All new hires are on the straight B fund plan.

Adding the profit sharing payout to the retirement funding is somewhat erroneous because the PBP changes every year. The math in your post would be correct IF the PBP was applied to the B fund. It isn't.

Guys,

Don't take any statements on here as negative or positive. These are the real and personal experiences of the pilots working for the company now, good and bad.

Just because it is what you want to hear or weren't expecting doesn't make it true of false, it is merely someone's experience. I can personally verify most of what the average applicant would call negative. None of that information is hiding on you, all you need to do is find it yourself and then you wouldn't need to believe some guy on a message board.

90% of you will feel the same way after flying the line for a month or so.

However, the increase to 7 E190s is not exactly a new change. If you go back and look at earlier delivery schedules, we where origionally suppose to get 7 E190s in 2013, but later deferred some to later years. This is just returning to the original deliver scheduled for 2013 (ref the SEC filines for the last 4 years).

The real problem is that we need aircraft, any aircraft. I believe management would prefer A320s, but the only thing on our order sheet we can get is E190s. The E190s has turned into a turd. The word is that its cost per block hours is the same as the A320 (but with 50 less seats and poor reliablity). But it is better than nothing. (maybe).

Just my opinion......

I know, more airplanes is bad news.

It is if you can't make money with them. Adding money losing airframes doesn't make much business sense.

Actually, it was said on our Q4-all year 2012- investor call a few days ago, our highest margin flying was shorthaul flying out of BOS (all E90).
