Thanks Biloxi, much appreciated.

Not stuck yet, starting class soon though. Trying to figure out our plan in regards to base.

Thanks again!

Default Commutable base

Between SFO and LAX does anyone have any insight on which is the most easily commutable from PDX? Seniority, trip efficiency, commutable pairings etc? Thank you!

Is the contract arbitration still going on? When are you all expecting a result?

From what I can tell its about the same. LAX-PDX has a daily 2335 departure on Alaska that would seem to be a nice choice for commuting. The commute time is 45 min shorter SFO/PDX. Weather is more of a factor in SFO.
Good luck.

I know this question has been asked a bunch and I have looked over the past 100 or so pages without finding an answer so thanks in advance....

Is the online assessment the same one they have had for the past few years or has it changed? I took the test I would guess 2 years ago and it was the mix of SAT, personality, and word problem type questions. I logged on recently to give it another go and I believe it said "allow 20 minutes for this portion". From what I remember the last one took MUCH longer then 20 minutes so I am just curios if they have shortened it a bit....

Cheers!

You have 20 minutes for each section. The first and third part is personality questions(they won't take 20 minutes) are you a team player, are you hard working, etc.. The second part is a logic test. It's 18 questions. They are all word problems. You end up with a little over a minute for each problem. Each question is atleast a paragraph and almost all were scheduling employees to work shifts at a factory. I would recommend using a piece of scratch paper and writing down the name of the person and their constraint as you read the problem. The problems aren't very hard, but you have limited time to complete the test. Also, you are not punished for guessing. I hope this helps and good luck.

Just take the test, do not think into it. I do not think you are even supposed to get the right answer on the "SAT"/"word problem" portion, but then again maybe you are.

There are a few of us here that believe they must not use the math portion at all, otherwise we wouldn't have been hired.
