Bottom of Delta or bottom of SWA
Just curious what others think...where would you rather be at the bottom of the list between these two companies? DAL has a bunch of retirements coming up, but I feel that SWA has a great opportunity to grow into South/Latin America if they can ever get their act together with the AirTran mess. Realizing retirements are much more certain than growth, where would you hitch your wagon??

To whichever called first.
The odds of having both airlines offering you a job are pretty slim. |
Two very different cultures, one group taxi fast and kills kittens, the other group has more tight asses than a Hawaiin Tropic competition.

I would go to the one where I could get the base I want.
Other than that I would choose Delta. |

Other than that I would choose Delta. That right there is some funny stuff! In 1985 I left flying night freight at a UPS contractor, and bypassed Fed Ex, to go to Delta because they paid the best, had the best retirement plan, and bases where I wanted to live, BOS and MIA. I didn't want to fly one little airplane domestically the rest of my life either. Now, both Fed Ex and SWA pilots make more than a Delta 777 Capt. and I lost a boatload of retirment money as well. Oh, and Delta closed BOS and MIA years ago. Nobody know's what's going to happen to either Delta or SWA in the next 10 years, what looks good today might not look too good in 10-20 years. |

I would go with Delta.....more options. |

Why go to either? Jetblue is hiring and actually has a future.
