Bottom of Delta or bottom of SWA
Just curious what others think...where would you rather be at the bottom of the list between these two companies? DAL has a bunch of retirements coming up, but I feel that SWA has a great opportunity to grow into South/Latin America if they can ever get their act together with the AirTran mess. Realizing retirements are much more certain than growth, where would you hitch your wagon??

That right there is some funny stuff!
In 1985 I left flying night freight at a UPS contractor, and bypassed Fed Ex, to go to Delta because they paid the best, had the best retirement plan, and bases where I wanted to live, BOS and MIA. I didn't want to fly one little airplane domestically the rest of my life either.
Now, both Fed Ex and SWA pilots make more than a Delta 777 Capt. and I lost a boatload of retirment money as well. Oh, and Delta closed BOS and MIA years ago.
Nobody know's what's going to happen to either Delta or SWA in the next 10 years, what looks good today might not look too good in 10-20 years.
