The lawyers are rejoicing in this deal. Looks like a big victory for the West, and now the NIC is ripe.

What???

If the merger goes through it should be good for east and west.

Once again, the bar is lowered.

Thanks guys, thanks a lot.

Delta substantially impacted the industry by allowing scope to be further relaxed—new American will far exceed Delta's scope. Just wait till Delta's next round of negotiations when they're forced to relax scope to the level new American will.

I'm afraid that Scope is going to come full circle at DAL unless APA reigns in scope during JCBA. :(

Ripe is a term traditionally used with damages related to a DFR.

Grounds for possibly claiming a DFR will be ripe in up to 2.5 years when SLI is implemented.

Nothing is ripe until JCBA+SLI is complete.

Only west pilots remain furloughed. Remember usapa is an "east" only union.

They remain furloughed by choice, all have been offered a position on the east. USAPA is not an east only union, it is the legal CBA of ALL US Airways pilots, you just don't like it. They filed and won a grievance on the block hour underfly that mostly helped west pilots. They filed and lost a grievance on the placement of west pilots vs. third listers on the east.

If we merge with AA you will be rid of USAPA soon.
