NK to open ORD crew base Jun 1

While everyone else seems stagnant Spirit seems to have found the right recipe for today's economy/travel. They opened just open DFW and now they will open ORD in June.

BUT the ORD base will come at the expense of the DTW base. That is being shut down from what a friend of mine at Spirit told me last week.

Regardless of the future of Spirit's DTW domicile, or any specific domicile (including ORD), net growth is happening.

I also heard from a NK friend that DTW will be closing once ORD is spooled up.

^^^^probably safe to assume. Metro DTW is a small area compared to the Chicagoland area, but who knows???? Maybe "imported from Detroit" might make a come back.... like disco or the Pontiac Trans-Am.
