Completely agree. . .I am sure that Air France Concorde flight deck crew would have loved for someone to have witnessed the FOD coming off the CAL heavy and reporting it before lumbering down the runway to their deaths. To not say anything immediately is professional malpractice.

Tattle tale perhaps is the guy who sees it, waits for the overnight to call his chief pilot?

This is the lesson my students learn from the people in their lives that want to continue in criminal behavior without anyone reporting it.

This has no place in aviation with safety at stake.

This is something that absolutely needs to be spoken up about immediately, due to potential damage to the departing jet, and the possibility of FOD on the runway.

If you see something wrong with my plane, please speak up. I'd expect every pilot to do the same.

Unless the "wrong thing" is strobes-on/strobes-off when lined up at night.

"Strobes!!!"

Jet Blue pilot tattle-tales on a Jet Blue pilot for a tailstrike.wmv - YouTube

As for a tailstrike, built in protection should virtually prohibit a tailstrike, right?

The aircraft could have structural damage, may not be able to pressurize or could be at risk for some additional failure... Broken drains or damages APU inlet.

There is no problem here and the company would find out eventually by reviewing FDR data. Safety teams can easily tell when AOA limits are exceeded.

I wonder if Ernst Kessler will be back to this thread to shed more light on his opinion.

It seems to me that his "opinion" was intended solely to slander a fellow employee who he apparently doesn't like. That appeared to backfire.

Now, if there is some valid reason for not telling someone that they likely left pieces of their aircraft on the runway, I'd like to know what it is, so I can correct my perspective.

'Tattle tale' ? The crew made the right call. He posted it in an attempt to make them look bad.
