Not so sure of that. A friend of mine was in an intern, checkair(wo)man, attended WAI, NO skeletons in the closet, ISN'T clueless in the cockpit, and hasn't been called.

Has anyone who attended WAI been called? I see a trend developing.

No. Of all the guys I know who have interviewed and been hired, they were all either retired/retiring military, or very high time (10K+ hours) with back grounds in heavy int'l ops. From talking to them their interview groups were more of the same.

CV has been coming into the newhire classes and saying that after the people that are currently being hired, have a class date, in the pool, whatever, no more will happen till ISL+4 months with January next year being that anticipated ISL+4 months period.

Call it "rumor" or whatever else comes from the person in charge of hiring at UAL.

I may be wrong but there's a new class every week through the rest of the year. That math of the original 300, even assuming they hired all 300 of them, does not add up. Not surprised that they are now cold calling folks who never got the sacred email.
