I'd just relax. You will find out by the end of the week most likely. They said "getting the drug test is neither good nor bad." Some have gotten hired in the past without it and others didn't get hired with it. Not much that can be changed now. Sleep well and live each day to the fullest. Best of luck to you!

Thanks much for the info. I really appreciate your looking into it.

My guess is they just haven't got to your spot in the paperwork. They emailed me for the drug test last week and I interview the first week of Jan. I would say don't sweat it, but I'm in the same db and I'm just as anxious.

Good luck man!!! Post here when you hear something…I'll do the same.

Asst Chief Pilot and one internal SWA ref called on Jan 20
Recieved my copy of background check in the mail Jan 27
Got my drug test email from SWA on Jan 28

Everything happened relatively quickly for me but the DB seems so far away!

Got the call tonight! Expect to get another call within the next week for some more info and class dates. Very excited!

I got the call this a.m. So beyond excited to have another shot at an airline career after almost 14 years at my last.

Got the call from the MDW CP this morning. Beyond excited as this was my second interview. Thanks to everyone who's helped on and off of this forum. Looking forward to seeing you all in class!

I got a question. My interview group and a friend of mine interviewed on Dec 2 and 3 respectively. We got called and we are hired, but none of us have a class date yet. There are rumors of a Feb 26 class, that's what People told one of the new hires when they called to get some additional info from him.

So wondering how did you get a Mar 5 training commitment when you interviewed two weeks after us and 8 of us have not heard anything??

I'd guess that the call (or email) has to do with when the PRIA checks are complete. They don't do those with the original background check that is done on many interviewees prior to the DB.

I was also told by someone in the office that within interview groups, class dates come by Last name while seniority comes by Age within a class, fwiw.

I got the call Tuesday from the ATL CP. Was told to expect more info next week.

Are the guys getting dallas well over the 1k TPIC requirement? Or has SWA called people right after hitting 1k?

Well I'm in the Feb 19 class. All my other interview group got Feb 26 for some reason. My lastname is middle of the alphabet but I'm probably older than most. No matter. See you all there!

Calls for class dates going out…assigned March 5th. For reference, I interviewed first week of Jan.

Congrats and welcome aboard! Glad to see that the DB still likes Metro drivers.

Curious..... If someone has the 737 type....what's the basic training timeline? Indoc? Any more systems classes? Total ballpark time from 1st day to start of IOE?

My buddy started in December, and it was almost 6 weeks in DAL. I think his IOE was only 4 days after a week off or so.

Everyone has the type before a class date.

Is there "training pay"? Or do you make guarantee from day 1?

Min guarantee from day one, (no per diem). Benefits from day one. And hotel paid for.
