As expected. What else could they do? Not much. At least they spared the FO. Sadly, the Captain became a liability with that accident.

Kudos for Southwest for not discussing the details or releasing names, as I'm sure all involved are ashamed enough. Not sure the Govt will be so kind...

What? Why? The final report isn't out yet. This is what happens when you release tidbit pieces of information just 2 days after the crash.

Not surprising. I heard she had quite the history prior to this as well...

Still beating that drum ShyGuy?
Let me help you with part of the article that you seemed to have skipped over or not comprehended:
The action came as Dallas-based Southwest completed its probe of the accident,
This has nothing to do with the NTSB's investigation.

True that there was an AA pilot in the jumpseat and that his neck was broken?

True that both SW pilots were knocked out for 4-5 mins?

Sat in a SW jumpseat and this is what the crew claimed.

Word on the street is that the FO was a transition from airtran and she was chastising him and said something to the effect of "this is how we do things at WN."

Gonna be interesting if that little leak turns out to be true...

of course the union is mad they dismissed the capt. I'm glad they dismissed the captain if the investigation revealed she is a dangerous pilot. for far too long unions have been protecting people that shouldn't be protected. maybe it's a slippery slope, but that's my opinion
