[QUOTE=Bucking Bar;1501003]Hitmefurl,

You might be overcomplicating things a bit. I don't think anyone went "rogue." There are simply different ideas on how to manage.

If the POTUS had named 4 cabinet members who campaigned hard for Romney, but brought them in anyway as an olive branch, and then he found out they were secretly working with congress to destroy him, and doing things that lead to a "do nothing congress" in attempt to further point fingers, all so someone from the opposing party could ride in on a white horse, would the firings be justified or not?

Of course on the other side, those cabinet members would also beleive that they were doing what was for the ultimate good for the country and they would certainly still have a lot of support from the congressman in their party and may even push for an impeachment of the POTUS.

The above is just a made up example of course, but you can see where there would be a lot of emotion on both sides, and firings, recalls etc could take place.

I don't care if it is union, school board, anything where people are elected, these situations will occur if they are around long enough.

Seems like a good analogy to me, RR. And pretty neutral.

That being said, I find this thread surprisingly hyperactive, as if people are lining up support. IMO, KR is in the wrong position, but I also don't favor recycling past Chairmen, unless they were extraordinary. As for the other positions, I want the best people for the job, period.

What I fear is a real turd sneaking in as a "fresh" alternative if a recall succeeds. Watching with interest.

Well one thing I have learned in life, is there is at least two sides to every story and those tend to change when confronted with facts. At this point, I think all of us are going off "he said she said" stories, but if the rumors of how this came about are true, (whether they felt justified or not) I am severely disappointed by the way the way we got here.

If true, I find the KR shut down the forum early allegation disturbing. It's also interesting that the recall effort was spearheaded by Council 81.

Makes sense to me, RR You can close a quote with an /QUOTE, surrounded by [ ], FYI.

And I thought the UAL MEC was jacked!

The forum and this recall are unrelated. The forum transition has been in the works for months now. The approval and timeline for the transition were both approved by the MEC body, not KR. The timing is entirely coincidental. King (and everybody else) has way bigger things on his plate right now than the forum transition timeline.

Let me get this straight: you are not disappointed by C2012; nor by Delta negotiating directly with Endeavor pilots without DALPA at the table; nor by the Pacific Section 1 giveaway . But you are disappointed by this?

Way bigger things on their plates than ensuring the free flow of information to their constituents? :confused:

If you're looking for your words, I think you left them in RonRicco's mouth. I'm sure you can have them back.
