I guess those are unsafe too.
Except that the yoke is a secondary input to the other guy flying. Air France might have survived if they would have had one.

funny how touchy airbus drivers are about that. You like them.. fine. Go for it. Have a great time.

SWA has better work rules, so in this example, the more money and more time off = the SWA pilot, it's not debatable, lol.

Sliceback can preach all he wants about me not knowing what im talking about because I've never flown a Widebody but numbers don't lie, he's just too pompous to admit that it appears SWA pilots have a higher QOL and make more money than a pilot flying a Widebody for American
That rate you quoted must be this year. Those mou rates increase every year. Gotta look at the big picture. According to the mou, a guy who upgrades in 9 years (for example) to group 2 Capt (b737 or ab) is gonna start off at around 225-230/hr. That's being on property for 9 or so years(assuming the fo upgrades that fast) and not even wide body. Even if it takes longer to upgrade than 9 years, I guarantee it will be a faster upgrade than SWA.

No worries. I wish the increased rates through 2018 were published on there. They are pretty aggressive increases.

What is the minimum days off with the MOU, is it still 5-48 hour periods?

funny how touchy airbus drivers are about that. You like them.. fine. Go for it. Have a great time.
It's pretty obvious what the other guy is doing even in low lighting. It's very obvious when the other guy is "churning butter." Not pitching up to 17 degrees at FL350 would have been a great start.

AA 777 pay is $200+ and will pass SW (granted 737) pay in January.

Long haul flying typically doesn't need work rules. But how would you know that? And could you list SW's long haul work rules because I don't have access to them.

There's tiny subset of ULH flights that bump into work rule areas but that's such a tiny subset and you've probably never heard of it.

Typical long haul trip - Day 1 - lunch at home. Fly at night. Day 2 - not at home. Day 3 - home for dinner.

SW has great domestic QWL. But I doubt guys would trade long haul trips for SW domestic trips even with the different work rules. And senior n/b AA guys have some pretty nice QWL. Does the avg compare? Probably not. But there are jobs that have nice QWL at AA. And if you're doing a n/b turn, how much do the work rules matter?

And the pay equation is changing rapidly. Isn't that what the thread was about? Would you go to SW or AA?
