How could they "intentionally poach" B6 pilots? If DAL and AA need pilots, and they advertise such, and B6 pilots happen to leave for a better pay and benefits, how can that be considered "poaching"? I really don't think DAL is going directly to B6 pilots with job offers...

My $0.02 here. We will not see much of a shortage of pilots simply because regionals and majors alike will have to cut capacity when they can't staff their routes. The majors will suffer from a lack of regional feed and won't fill all their routes to capacity. The problem will take care of itself. Supply and demand works in reverse in this industry which is clearly reactive instead of proactive.

I have seen literature from AA and Delta that says otherwise. Management at B6 is worried about it as it could cripple the companies growth plans. I didn't believe it either until I saw the literature. I know that you can't always believe what you read but why would B6 be worried if it wasn't.

Let's count these. 4, 8, 3, 3, 3.......well, let's just say it's a bunch.

There's still a difference between recruiting and poaching. If I were in charge of hiring, I would probably send out literature too. You have proven trainable pilots in one place.

You bring up a great point. It is up to B6 to keep their pilots even if the majors are going to target B6 pilots.

I doubt anyone cares about that strategy. The instant its implemented, it immediately cancels itself out. Absolutely worthless from a strategic point of view. Poaching (so called) LCC pilots, OTOH, is a very viable tactical business move. If done enough, it will drive up their costs far in excess of the paltry reduction in an already relatively low longevity curve as well as stick a thumbtack in the running shoe of their endless growth models.
