US Airways Scedule Apps/Service
Hello all, would anyone mind shedding some light on what services and apps are available for android to access CATCREW, bid, check reserve status, and so on? They covered it briefly in indoc about flica to bid but not much more.
I understand that you must pay for the services but I'm trying to get the best bang for my buck being the FNG. thanks

There are other apps out there like WinBid Reserve. Some guys I know use that, but I think just having CATCREW on your phone is easy enough.

If you don't have winbid reserve already - your too late for the party. The captain that made the program took it off the apple store as there are too many people using it and catcrew was giving it delayed info, slower than the ever four hours or whatever it is supposed to be. It sucks for the guys coming online because it makes long call a thousand times better!

Haha.. sort of.
It's ridiculous.
If you want to see your schedule, open time, monthly bidding, reserves, etc etc from your home computer, you have to subscribe to a $10/month plan from Flica. All that basically does is allow you access to everything listed above outside of the crewrooms or other company computers.
Then, if you want to see your schedule or reserves or whatever on your phone/ipad/tablet, you pay someone else a small fee ($3-$4/month) to connect.
Like I said, ridiculous. What I could access from home/phone/tablet at my regional, now costs me $10-$14/month to access. I'm guessing (hoping) all of this will change with the merger as we move towards a completely different system (or whatever American uses).

If your good around a network router.....and have a spare old laptop or computer sitting around. Hook it up to your home internet. Leave it on. and get RPD app or similar remote host app for your phone. Log into your router from anywhere you are and look at catcrew. Free, except for cost of computer plugged in
