My good friend Dr Bruce Hollinger, AME has taken over for Charlie Smith's practice in Nashville. You can now get your 1st Class w/ EKG for $175. I've been going to Bruce for 15 years. His brother was an AA Captain and he understands the importance of our ticket! Good guy and very "pro" our business.

First Class with EKG in McAllen,TX (KMFE) is $100

While cheap, he is the "scab" of the AME community in DFW. Most medicals are 150-ish in DFW. Griffin used to practice at Baylor Grapevine Hospital but for reasons nobody wants to tell me, was basically banned from that hospital.

Griffin is to DFW AMEs what those cheap contract pilots are to the pilot industry. Contract rate "fair rate" is $650 a day for a Captain ? Joe Blow will charge $325 a day.

Medicals are not unionized wages. He is not a SCAB. I've paid Griffin's fee and up to $175 at other AME's offices. He runs a super low overhead business and takes low income clients for regular visits. If you want to pay big bucks for your medical, by all means do so, but don't bash the guy with claims of being banned from a hospital without proof.

An AME in Atlanta charged $100 the first year, $135 next year, $175 the following year. Folks finally got tired of his increase and a lot are migrating to Auburn, AL where Dr. Freeman only charges $100. All prices quoted are without an EKG.
