Jetblue anti-union tactics
#121
Are you really going to sit here as a jet blue new hire fresh out of the military and parrot jetblue management's party line on why the legacies "flushed themselves down the toilet?"
*clown alert*
p.s. the legacies' pay and benefits are pretty good compared to yours...not too bad for being "flushed down the toilet." maybe you should look into it.

Drunk,
Your vote counts the same as mine. I offer you the same advice, Don't bother voting, as my vote will cancel your vote.

a) get the benefits package they deserve and
b) stop weighing down other pilot groups

Ah, the dreaded bankruptcy word.
But, Pilots flying for bankrupt legacy carriers were still better compensated under concessionary contracts than JB Pilots who were flying for a profitable carrier.
Doesn't that make you want to ask Questions?
From a Pilots perspective, bankruptcy wasn't so bad after all.

I like it when I hear stories about the senior guys at 1980's UsAir voicing concerns about bid packages and guarantee at an ALPA meeting scheduled to address the upcoming furlough of 300+ brethren. BTW, the brethren were in the room. That's the greed picture of Big wage Big Union that drove the bankruptcy of the Legacy's. Any card carrying Republican should think about that picture when it's time to vote.
JJ, homework assignment. Review Legacy bankruptcies.
Guys need to stop dismissing the fact that Regionals are represented by ALPA too. Those dues go to the same pot of Uncle Lee's loot. It's a problem, and a reason that ALPA gives me heartburn. Swear it away with whatever smoke you want, but it's real.
Is it painful to listen to Dave B jump into his, very eloquent history lesson of how lucky we are to be at JetBlue? Yes. Is it painful to hear a fellow pilot drop a thunderbolt of a question (regarding the lack of 2-way collaboration and fact the company can do or change anything they want to the PEA or 5 documents with zero input) on the ELT and have their DR response pretty much mean nothing? Yes. (All on last weeks ELT Conference Call)

Those are real issues. That's what I pay attention to. No clowning around.

Why can't you understand the union is a representation of the pilots. The negotiating committees are a representation of the pilots elected. You were at a regional, you are now at a major airline. The situations are different. The union is different. The ability to achieve gains are different.
Meanwhile management is the same. The takeaways continue. The lies and fish storied get bigger.

If you do not receive voting instructions prior to April 1st please contact any OC member as you must request new instructions, in writing, from the NMB.
If anyone is still considering themselves a fence sitter encourage them to abstain. Simply don't vote.

Still awaiting a response who would you rather have at the table with your career on the line? Dave barger or your own merger committee made up of real pilots with just as much to lose as you?
