Not mad at you but thanks for the apology. The White Male Hetero crack made you seem like one of those guys who claims he cannot get hired because of women and minorities. I just didn't see the humor. The Denzel crack, kinda funny, but that's why you have a day job.

The job fairs back in the late 1990's were 99.99% white btw.

No offense taken, fly safe

Yes, of course. But it needs to be said without the racist tone. Got it? If not, then get it.

And if the national media were ever to catch wind of that and make a segment who doesn't attend, it would look terrible for spirit.

Back on topic. Does anyone have any explanation on the "seniority" at fapa job fairs? In a nutshell.

78.2% of all statistics are made up. The other 41.6% are wrong.

I've been to 3, no calls for interviews.

Which three? When?

It's not a guaranteed process nor is it an immediate response.
Know a guy that got called within a month. His experience doesn't prove that it works all the time for everyone.

And 98.7% of all statisticians hate their jobs. :)

You are assigned a seniority number at the time you register for the specific job fair. Once at the job fair itself, groups of 50ish line up to speak with the recruiters. 1-50, 1-100, 1-150 etc. Gives you an idea of when you'll actually get to speak with someone and allows you to go sit down, relax, and stand around for hours at a time. Makes for a more civilized experience.

"Dress Policy
Business casual, save your suit for interviews. The recruiters are aware of the guidance we have given you regarding the dress policy.
Men: Trousers/khakis and a shirt with a collar (button down or polo).
Women: Trousers/knee-length skirt and a blouse or shirt with a collar."

So my question is, do I still go above and beyond and wear a suit? My thinking is show the chief pilot what I will look like when I am flying his planes and I would hate to be underdressed if others wear a suit too. Thoughts?

Or it shows the chief pilot that you don't follow simple instructions. You would have been in a very small minority yesterday in LAS in a suit...
