FFDO Training - Pack List

For those who've been to initial training, anything you would recommend bringing besides what's on their gear list?

Thanks!

I went to initial last year. Take band aids and tape if you don't shoot a lot. I also suggest sunscreen and a bottle to fill with water for the range.

Shampoo. The letter they send out says they provide soap. I thought it would be like a hotel where they provide soap and shampoo. Not so much.

A backpack. And a 360° bill hat. Not sure what they call em. I think their called boonie hats. When you wear the ear protectors the sides will be smushed a little however. Use hand lotion every day as far in advance as you can, might help. Above rec's as well.

I'm probably dreaming here, but...internet access?

There is computer lab in the court that is used by the full time academy students that you can use. Otherwise MAYBE cell phone reception. But don't expect it to be good for voice or data. Your gna be too busy and exhausted to use it. Gna be long days.
