Default Delta and Delta Private Jets

Do Delta executives utilize Delta Private Jets for travel or do they exclusively travel on the 121 side of the house? I figure there are some confidential type meetings that they must attend where flying on the 121 side would compromise their anonymity.

Also, how did the DPJ entity come into the Delta portfolio? Seems like another area where Delta has differentiated itself from the other legacies. Random questions, but APC is usually the source for all things Delta.

Delta Executives typically fly on Delta just as any other passenger (or employee on a positive space pass). Richard Anderson flies in coach and makes no special arrangements to accommodate him. If he were not recognizable and approachable, one would just assume he's a regular Joe business traveler.

Delta Private Jets was part of Comair going all the way back to their 91/135 roots. Today it is largely performed by contracted vendors and used to cross market with Delta's premium travel offerings.

Prior to this executive team, Mullin and crew did use off line charters. I don't know if they used Delta Private Jets, but they sure could have.

That's because you're a CEO and accustomed to that kind of treatment.

Unless you're one of the pilots. If you believe what's written on APC, the QOL on the pilot side is pretty horrible. It's kind of hard to believe that it shares the Delta name.

Maybe the Delta Private Jets pilots will negotiate a flow through to the 'big dance'. Kind of like what FedEx has with their corporate flight department.

I work for Endeavor and I rode next to a DPJ guy who said he has flown RA and EB to Caribbean vacations. Second hand but I don't know why this guy would lie to me.

Take it with a grain of salt. Regardless with what RA has been able to do with Delta he deserves it.

Probably did it so Ed could get some rest. He has a difficult time sleeping.
