Allegiant's response? Concessions!

Any body able to confirm the news that Allegiant management actually countered with concessions across the board, incl. scheduling, work rules and pay? Rumor has it they didn't even include seniority in the bid process.

Every time you think it can't get more ridiculous...

I've heard something along those lines. Not quite that bad, but close.

IMO, it's actually better for our side they just continue not bargaining. It wont be long before we make our case to the NMB for an impasse to be declared. We’re not a regional, and we’re bottom in every category for our segment of the industry.

Classic old-line airline management tactics, ala Steve Wolf. Right down to the "Town Hall" next week (Wolf @USAir called it "crossroads"). You'll hear all about the great things in the works, if only the greedy pilots would get on board....

Haven't heard, but it wold not come as a surprise. Typical Allegiant, give nothing, take everything. Work rules? We schedule, you fly. MG wanted simple, straightforward work rules, simple enough? Same arrogance and dismissiveness goes to everyone this airline deals with, passengers, airports, supporting communities, employees, everyone. If it appears anyone is getting a break, you're not looking close enough.

Up till now Allegiant has been getting away with this garbage but the gig is up. Pilots are fed up and have better choices. Those that are waiting for the phone to ring (most) probably have no qualms walking a picket line before they leave. 2 years and nothing to show for it but bad faith negotiations, I suspect the process must be coming to that conclusion soon.

Confirmed by the hotline message from Teamsters that they update every Friday. This week is from the negotiating committee and they say that at the end.

Time to shut it down. Every month that goes by we are losing more and more ground. The chickens are coming home to roost. Our 3Q financials were lackluster at best compared to DL, AA, SWA, and JetBlue. These companies provide compensation that destroys anything you will find at Allegiant. Where did the money go? To the golden parachute of the POS President and COO who left "to pursue other opportunities". The party is over for upper management. They've been raiding our pockets and retirement for years. Shut it down.

Vegas is a perfect venue for national news coverage. Shut it down.

Sounds like self-help may be in the future for the G4 pilots if management bargains in bad faith.
