To have any actual impact from interviewees saying no would require a massive turn down rate by successful applicants. It costs very little to interview a candidate in the grand scheme of things. SWA was famous for having 2/3 to 3/4 rejection rates by their design for a long time, and they were otherwise very careful with the money they spent.
You really think legacy airline managements are going to come groveling to the union to offer big raises because the entire interview pool is rallying against them? LOL dude.

I say take the interview for sure, then decide if you get an offer.
I left EK and I'm now working at UAL. For me it was a no brainer, still in my 30's, young family etc. Everyone's situation is different but my QOL here is substantially better......
Good luck!

This whole conversation makes me wonder how EK is going to fill the cockpits of all those wide-bodies they've ordered. I think this might be the weak link in their chain.

We (Spirit) have had a few Emirates and Etihad guys hired recently as well. 5-6 years ago Emirates was a bunch of people's wet dream, personally you couldn't pay me enough to work there but funny how now even Spirit has some Emirates guys this industry changes dramatically over such a short time, probably more so than any other industry.....

I'm year 8 scale and won't quite hit 200 this year (though including DC I'll be well above 200). It's been a very lucrative year with green slips and other opportunities!
