Default Jumpseat with alcohol in luggage

I'm trying to catch a fedex flight back home and I'm thinking about getting a bottle of wine for my friend. I am wondering if it's a taboo to bring alcohol with me even I'm not consuming it inflight.

I do it every week on Pax jumpseats... Shouldn't matter.

Heck yeah, do it as a pilot with duty free. Shouldn't be any issue, just don't pop the top

Unopened bottles of whatever are fine. I cart them around both working and jumpseating on us (fedex) all the time.

IIRC, it is not supposed to be over 140 proof.

That is a good point. Guess it could be Hazmat if it's 151. Seems like a bottle of 151 is always on the slide for the recurrent HazMat lecture

As long as you bring enough for everyone.... I don't see a problem.

Think of it this way. International crews go into duty free and buy alcohol IN UNIFORM AND THEN GO OPERATE A FLIGHT. Honestly amigo, you're worrying about NOTHING.

Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't the crew dec on international flights state that the bottle should be opened (seal broken) ?
Always found it weird. One little sip for the road.
