Airline pilots using iPad bidding app?
Just doing a quick survey of what airline pilot groups have for bidding their schedules.
Old fashioned manually, a Windows/Mac app, online web app, or an iPad app? I'll start: -UPS pilots can use BidPro (Windows/Mac), although no longer sold or supported by BidPro; no iPad app option. -SWA pilots have two bidding app options on the iPad and Windows/Mac. -United is working on an iPad app. Any others? Thanks! John |

Delta is once again leading from behind on IT matters. The company's bid software only runs on a Windows. There is a web client but it's clunky and slow.
The 3rd party software (easybid) is only marginally supported and also only runs on Windows. If you want to run them on a Mac, you've got to buy your own replicator software and your own Windows software (although the company will give you Windows Xp in certain situations). Nothing for iPad or the company-provided Surface RT tablet. |
JetBlue uses a software called "Navtech PBS". There is no iPad app but the website runs on a tablet with little trouble.

An Alaska pilot is working on an iPad program but it is very limited at the moment.
