Thumbs down New Scab List

I just watched a French television special about the lengths some pilots go through to get a job flying an airliner. Seems that pay for training is a booming business for brokers and sim rental companies.
with a fresh commercial license you can pay $50,000 and get a type rating and 10 hours with an airline, then a possiblity of a job at that company ( with pay so low, McDonalds entry level makes more).
Is there any kind of list that tracks these pilots who pervert the pay system in aviation? If not there should be, just like the scab lists from unions.

Sure it is a f.... Up.system, but these kids did not break any laws, nor did they cross any picket lines. They just jumped ahead of the poor guys.
Scab list? Nah...

(I instructed, flew bush in Alaska, twins in the Caribe, long road, 5200 hrs before I saw the inside of a jet, did not pay for training )

Yet another clueless post that shows that you're more ignorant than intelligent. How about instead of blaming the pilots who "pervert" this system as you put it, why don't you start to blame the managements and mainline unions that have created this entire fiasco at the regional airline level and hold them accountable? Oh that's right, you all sold us all out years ago and then have the audacity to post nonsense like this...typical.

Pay for training doesn't exist anymore (that I know of in the U.S.), but even if it did and it meant that a major airline would hire said pilot there would be scores and scores of pilots signing up to do it. Again, blame your management and union, not the pilot.

I believe a SCAB is someone who crosses a picket line to work for a company in the midst of a strike.

Secondly, are you former military? Because if you're not, then I'm sure you paid for your ratings or paid to learn to fly, so aren't you just as guilty of this horrible atrocity you're speaking of?

We need to cut out the entitlement crap in this industry! You are NOT entitled to a job flying an aircraft and neither am I. Airlines need to be thankful there are pilots qualified to fly who are looking for a job and Pilots need to be thankful there are airlines hiring, but NO ONE is entitled to a job.

Your post smacks of, "I got mine, screw everyone else".

What? Was there something you didn't understand? His assertation that someone who paid for training or ratings is akin to a SCAB is ridiculous. If you came up through the civilian side of things, very, very few people I'm sure received their private, commercial and ATP for free. Am I wrong?

I came up through the military side, I still had to pay to take the commercial pilot test and had to pay for my ATP. Am I a SCAB?

You my friend are what is wrong with this profession. I deplore PFT but your suggestion to vilify the poor souls starting out smacks of the arrogance that has brought us to this sorry state in the first place. It was the senior union pilots who were happy to take their 30 pieces of silver in exchange for RJ's blanketing the skies and then those same pilots who were happy to leave those RJ pilots to fend for themselves. Now you complain about the inevitable result? The market will eventually take care of PFT but if you want to speed that up, it will take the unions and the senior pilots who control them to do that.

I suggest you look up SCAB in the dictionary and use it properly before posting again.

The comment was about paying for experience. I came up through the military and did not pay for my flight hours which is what I took the comment to be about.....

I just get a little sore over posts from self-entitlement guys like the OP. I heard the same kind of thing before I was hired and paid to attend a couple of job fairs. Comments like, "you shouldn't pay to go to a job fair" and "you're just propagating what's wrong with this industry".

Guys need jobs, and while I strongly condemn anyone who crosses a picket line, investing in your career is required for some professions.

It's the "holier than thou" attitude that need to be sacked.

No offense to you was intended.
