A buddy of mine has one coming up. What's it like? Feel free to PM.

They'll basically verify the info that you filled out on the app. ie. times, checkride failures, time in last year or so, etc. Very basic.

It'a a verification of the information they pulled from your resume & application, nothing more. If he told the truth, they should follow the conversation with an invite for an interview.

How does he know he's getting one, do they schedule it? I applied but haven't heard anything, also did Vets in Blue...

You usually get a missed call from JB Pilot Recruitment. You don't get an e-mail or anything before the phone call.

He got an email to schedule the call.

I received an email to schedule a phone interview, as did a bunch of others I know. The call was to verify information on your app mainly flight times and was about 5 minutes long. If everything checks out they will be invited for an interview.
Some of my friend were asked "Why JetBlue"?

First and most important thing, be social and friendly on the phone. We like to hire enthusiastic, fun, outgoing people. I made a few light hearted jokes. I wasn't ever asked outright why JetBlue, but I certainly talked about how excited that I was, how long I've wanted to work there, etc.

That said, as people above have said, it's more about hours verification and basic HR verification (I.e. Do you have a passport, can you legally work in the USA, etc). Feel free to PM or respond to the thread if anyone needs more detail.

Just received an email about the phone interview, anyone know if this info above has changed? And one thing I'm concerned about and can't find an answer to is, after years of updated I can't remember if I have my private oral failure listed on my app, obviously I'll be honest about it over the phone, but if it's not on my app and I say it on the phone, will I look like I'm trying to hide it and not be invited to an interview? Because I was never trying to hide it.

It has changed, for the phone interview be ready to answer questions about why you want to work for JetBlue and why JetBlue should hire you. Also some questions about your current job. I would look through the JetBlue sub-forum for more info.
