FTI 737 Training Review
 

Looking for a somewhat current review/what to expect with FTI in Denver. Any information is appreciated.

Just did it two weeks ago. The sim you'll use for FTI is the same you'll use for the interview (same location at United training center), and instructors are either retired or current United instructors.
Know the callouts and profiles cold before showing up for prep which will help immensely, especially on the go around. You'll have two hours in the sim to just go over all the profiles and basic airwork with the 733, with additional time for brief/debrief.
The whole experience, from FTI to everyone in the new hire office, was light years beyond what I expected. Everyone wants you to be there in a future class and treats you as such as long as you're willing to reciprocate!

And i got the job. Sim prep was worth its weight in a class date!

Thread bump. Anyone use FTI recently for a 737 type?

Why would anyone need to buy a 737 type today? SW doesn't require it anymore. Get hired and let the airline pay for your type rating.

Military guys who don't have to buy it (free through the GI Bill), have never been exposed to 121 flying or in some cases, an FMS, want some training . . .

Or someone set on Southwest and wanting a call that much sooner. You can't put a price on seniority.

Did it last year when they were doing the Summer special.. now those sims are no longer in DEN. but if you wanna do it.. just do it!
