Southwest Pilots uninformed

Many AAI pilots who have since transitioned over to Southwest have been repeatedly told by SWA pilots, F/A's , Ground personnel and surprisingly even by passengers how they only got the pay rate increase at the end of 2011 because of Southwest.

Here is the fact.

These were the pay rates that the AAI pilots voted NO / Down in 2007.
More actually than what was gained in the TA of 2011 - over 4 years later. SWA helped ?

96.23
115.42
119.00
skipped because could not read
124.39
129.13
138.83
142.69
146.97
151.38
155.92
160.60
165.41
170.38
175.49

Side note: Was it over 6 years of negotiations after the CBA was amendable at AirTran? No retro. Only bonus that was paid in split payments.
Was an average of approx. less than 12,000 total to each pilot.

What is the plan for the Southwest pilots and retro vs. a small bonus - after how many years in negotiations ?

How many times are you going to keep starting the same thread?

Absolutely a fair question.

I am sure there could have been a better way. My intention was to have 3 threads - each covering a particular point.

The points were the Southwest pilots always saying the same things. 1. "We did not get anything from the deal."

2. The AirTran pilots did not get harmed, their pay all went up by MILLIONS, and the TA the AAI pilots got when the acquisition was announced was because of SW.

3. The truth with proof - The AAI pilots were threatened to give up huge amounts of seniority, especially all the Captains, their seats and their hard earned seniority or they would be out of a job due to non-integration. There was an agreement between SWA and SWAPA to make sure this was carried out. My opinion is that is not really fair or how it is suppose to work.

My goal was to have each thread remain on point. Very hard to do in a dynamic thing like this.

Why even post if it is just sarcasm? Just either read and disagree / agree and post if you have something to contribute. Again, one of my points has been (my assumption is you must be a SWA F/O) all the SW pilots seem to post all the time are digs and insults. Why is that? Do you know anything else?

Ok, I really do not have atrong feelings or opinions on the merger or what positives and negatives came out of it. I would humbly suggest that a lot of folks are feeding this troll and it is playing into his agenda. The solution of he is not banned is to just not reply. He can write posts to himself all day. Don't let one grumpy guy create 1000 grumpy guys.

We could play "Can You Top This" if TWA people were on the forum.

Wow - the rest of that contract must have really sucked if you turned down those pay rates!

AirTran sounds like a great airline. -- are they hiring?
