Reviving a dead post but has this commute changed at all in the last 8 years? We have been talking about moving out there after military but unsure if it'll be worth the headache

ATL is frequently full, especially if it's on a 200. Never count on the jumpseat on any flight operated on a 200.

I guess I was just looking in general. CLT seems to be the easiest gig but that's pretty limiting especially without job offers. Looking at the locations you can fly to out of that airport they cover a fair number of domiciles, just don't know if it's still difficult to get seats like it was mentioned earlier.

CLT is a fairly easy commute. Summer, while usually pretty full with passengers, is generally easier to commute. Usually 7-9 flights/day to CLT with a few being on a bus (2 jumpseats). In the off season it slows down to 5-7 flights per day. I haven’t had too many issues. This is all on AA, can’t really speak to DAL (ATL). AA does have some flights to DFW, PHL, BOS (seasonal), ORD, DCA, and LGA. But usually only 1-2 per day.
