Republic's 40+ C-Series CS300 Orders to Whom?

The CS300 would easily fit between a 717 and a 737-700/800 or A320 in terms of seating capacity. Far more fuel efficient than the 737NG and the A319/20 and excellent range (Miami to Seattle is doable with full seats). The E190/195 is not comparable in terms of technology or capability.

So, given that it is definitely a mainline airplane, who's gonna pick up Republic's order for 40 CS300s? There may be more options - so, it could be a bigger total volume order.

Someone on the other board mentioned Allegiant but it does not sound plausible to me unless they are the last bidder because Republic cannot take them. I am hoping a legacy picks them up. Any thoughts or "credible" predictions?

This is not a credible prediction, just my guess. The order is either cancelled all together, which would really hurt the Cseries program, or United will take them.

United is in need of planes, and this would suffice their need for domestic lift. Delta doesn't want the risks of an unproven plane. They prefer taking planes from the boneyard and museum over brand new untested planes.

Nobody needs to take the orders. The C series has sold so poorly anyone can have slots at anytime if they want the airframe. My guess is since the forecast scope cave never happened they will simply be canceled.
