Wierd Rule
Hello folks,
I have a question regarding what appears to be a very strange rule. I have a friend who was keeping her new job a secret until she finished training: she became a flight attendant for a charter airline. Per her requests I will not name the company. She told me that her company has requests that it's flight attendands keep their jobs on the DL. She can tell you thats she's an FA with XYZ company, but she's not supposed to discuss her schedule, destination, and that sort of stuff. This is the strangest thing I've ever heard. Even on this forum lots of people talk about their schedules. My only theory is that it has something to do with her company doing alot of military charters. Any ideas? |
Actually, this is normal for companies that charter themselves out to celebrities and other high worth individuals. This could also apply to military flights as well.

Hmm, could be. I dated a pilot who worked for an airline that flew the troops back and forth between US and Kuwait/Turkey via Shannon. He, too, was pretty secretive. In looking back, however, maybe that was just a clever "cover!" :D :p

Actually it makes sense for lots of security reasons. Especially when you deal with high profile celebrities. Someone could grab her kid, for example, to get her to compromise the security of the clients.
