How much are you paid in training? Is a hotel provided? How senior do you need to be to hold Sunday's off?

Minimum guarantee, 70hrs.

Yes, I believe that all new hires for the last year have been in a Residence Inn with a full kitchen.

Heavily depends on equipment/base.... the Airbus usually flies everyday and getting some of the weekends off is relatively easy, even for very junior people....whereas on the MD80, you typically are always getting Monday, Wednesday, Saturday off.

Minimum guarantee. No Per Diem. Hotel is provided. Lately, it has been Homewood Suites, Residence Inn or HI Express. Shuttle transportation is provided through ground training. Rental cars are provided for SITs and SIMs.

class dates typically follow awards by about 2 months, and training takes about as long.

airbus upgrade time is trending higher. best GUESS for a newhire today would be 4 yrs.

Given all the transitions that are about to take place, new hires might be able to wrangle an AB upgrade by going VBD in a couple years...they will NOT be able to take openings in bases from MD80 guys until the transitions are complete plus a couple years (and we still don't know what those out years are looking like growth wise anyway).

Default New training facility

I know Allegiant broke ground on that new training facility in Orlando. I read that it's looking to be completed by the first quarter of this year. Anyone have any further info? Will new hire training be held there?

It seems to be running a bit behind due to some steel supply issues... New hire training will most likely remain in LAS. The sims may be used for overflow, but management seems to like to keep the new-hires close. It's primary use will be an "East Coast Recurrent" facility.

Do you know if that new facility is going to have a hotel/dorm attached to it (similar to Jet Blues facility)? It would make a lot of sense and cut down significantly on housing/transportation costs.

I did the math and my class of 9, October new hires, cost the company an incredible amount of money. I know they eventually want to do a lot of this stuff at home, but who knows when that will ever be ready

For the OAK based pilots, what are the schedules like there? Are they any form of commutable? How many days off are people getting?
