Short term health care in NY?

Does anyone have any leads for the lack of health care at CAL the first six months? Family plan required.

Did you call the number on the job offer? I thought is was very reasonable for no existing problems with wife and kids.

It's a little over 1000 bucks a month in the great state of NY for the coverage offered in the job offer. There has got to be something better out there. I'm just looking for catastrophic coverage.

Blue Cross/Blue Shield. My wife and I - $166/mo, major medical, including limited prescription coverage. I too found the cost of the plan from the company in the offer letter very high.

This must very from state to state. Mine was $500 for six months. I paid it all up front and they gave it to me cheaper. I think I had a $2000 deductible. 2 kids and wife. BTW, we gotta fix this bullsh1t on the next contract. We can't have our pilots out in the wind.

They quoted me around 300/mo with a very high deductable. 5000 per person with a max out of pocket 7000 total. 40$ copay. Better than cobra but still worth looking around elsewhere.

Welcome to our airline we're glad to have you on board. Let's hope you have a healthy family because we don't have health insurance for you. Oh, and by the way, if your family members do get sick don't let it affect your flying abilities or we will fire you. Keep the new guys in mind for the next contract.
