I don't know whether the current administration will support ALPA and our industry by enforcing labor laws or not. All I can do at this point is answer the call to action and help the PAC in it's position.
Admittedly, though I only know the headline details of each attempt to fly into the US by NA. That's why I give to the PAC and answer the calls to action. They have the details.

Clear.... that's the rub on this issue....its all about politics!

As a side note, I thought I read a week ago that Norwegian Air 2.0 was being pushed now and organized in England, thereby using EU labor and rules. If that's the case, it's going to be a hard argument on why the US should keep them out except for blatant protectionism.... and as a person that's being protected, I don't mind personally, but the precedent for open skies has already been cast.
Previous NA 1.0 was a shell company organized in Ireland I believe using complete contract labor/mx subverting normal labor laws and mx requirements. Admittedly, though I only know the headline details of each attempt to fly into the US by NA. That's why I give to the PAC and answer the calls to action. They have the details.

They will be.
The U.S. Government has done nothing to protect U.S. airline jobs in the past decade. As much as we would like to think somebody cares about who is flying the airplane they board, they don't. They care about how much it costs to buy a ticket and the U.S. government loves anything that makes it cheaper for the flying public to buy tickets.
NAI and the ME3 are wet dreams for most of our Senators and Congressmen. Delta, United, American, and ALPA will not win the battle. JetBlue, Southwest, Alasaka, and FedEx are lobbying FOR NAI and the ME3....

I would think a "free trade," free market, anti-regulation, Republican administration would be more likely to approve this type of deal than a pro-labor, protectionist, anti-free trade Democrat administration. All other things being equal, and on a purely philosophical level.

Hint: Politicians have us all by the *** and can either stop this or make it happen.
