How does airline pipeline work?

Hello All,
First of all I just want to clarify that I am not a airline pilot for any carriers. Also I want to apologize for my poor grammar. Right now I am a avation student at a major flying college and I have already got my pilot certification. My question is what is a airline pipeline network? If you have taken this route what are your experiences? What are the cons and pros? What are my other options other than military and airline pipeline? Thank you all for the advice in advance

I've never heard the expression, 'airline pipeline' but I can imagine what it means. I guess it means a predictable flow from entry level jobs to the carrier you want, major airline for example. If there was one piece of advice that every aspiring pilot should heed it is, never burn a bridge. This is a small world and you will run into the same people again and again. One day you'll find some guy you knew, "back in the day" is a chief pilot.
