Heh, we’re the same age then. And I can safely say mine did NOT look too good. I cringe at the thought. In fact, I’d say that mullets in general got a bad rap as being the butt of every hair joke from the era because most weren’t really that bad when you look at hair styles over several generations. But mine? It was the reason for the bad jokes. Sorry guys.

Yea, a good mullet is tricky to pull off. But let me be clear. I thought mine looked great 30 years ago. I didn't say what anyone else thought!

I went from being embarrassed about some of that stuff to just embracing it! It's life.

I'm just bummed I missed the plaid, bell-bottom, elbow-patch sport coat with a thick tie and bush-broom mustache era.

Have you looked into how to put these together into a book? You hit some great, random thoughts I've had over the years and will probably forget when I retire. Having your collection in print would be terrific.

Thank you so much for the thought. Yes, I will be collecting all these into a book, not sure when, but I will get it done. It just takes time to sit and grind through the process to make that happen.
