coffee & pretzels cartoon - airlinefiles
RI830, Thanks, but I'm just a hack artist, and just flying around and listening to everyone talk, and watching everybody do their thing writes my stuff. You guys come up with the best lines! I just steal 'em!! The only thing is, is I just take the time to sit down and draw silly pictures with silly things ya'll say. See you out there, start a 4 day tomorrow. Yay.

Your modesty and excellence reminds me of Scott Adams, a 9 year electrical engineer at Pacific Bell. He just took ideas from work and made cartoons from them. People then started sending him ideas from their work experiences.
After he got enough papers to syndicate it, Dilbert became an industry staple. He quit his day job, and the rest they say is history.

Seriously guys, thanks. Appreciate it. I think I will probably consolidate these all together and put out a book that I can put on my mantle and when my grand kids wander by I can say, "look what I did."
The initial goal was to put out a comic every Monday for two years as a challenge to myself. I passed that mark a while back, so now I'm pushing into the unknown. The name was changed so I could broaden my scope a little beyond my typical airline-nerdom. But with the ego's and shenanigans that creep all around our dysfunctional industry it seems like we all, (myself included) can create a fair amount of material.
Sure I've thought of trying to get into one of the magazines, but when I look at my own behavior, I don't read airplane magazines anymore, nothing against them, just I get my fill when I'm out n' about. As I said in another forum, my base goal is to make the rank-and-file line pilot chuckle.
So onward and upward with the arts!
