I got a plantronics with the custom ear mold through Avery. It broke about two weeks ago, I couldn't transmit. It's about 8 months old. I use it on the 7ER. I was informed by Plantronics repair today that it won't be looked at until November 15. Due to the durability of this headset and plantronics customer support i cannot reccomend the plantronics from Avery with the custom ear mold. Comfortable, yes. Reliable, no. Customer support, awful.

Here's something I've wondered. Remember the movie Apollo 13? They were wearing headsets that look similar to a Telex 5x5, but some were wearing them around their neck, with an extended tube to reach the ear. I've never seen or head of this, except for that movie.
