Did not know Fred other than as my Block rep. I appreciated his insight and his passion as a pilot advocate, and was looking forward to his leadership through our upcoming negotiations. He will be missed.

The e-mail mentioned his four children. Can anyone tell me if they were still living with him?

Also, if there is a new election, I hope DS runs again. I think he is still in that block, and I appreciate his views and recognize his passion as well.

RIP Fred. My heart goes out to your wife and family.

Fred was a truly passionate and compassionate individual. It was always a pleasure to fly with him.

All the best to Fred's family.

Tonight, I raise a glass to a fellow Naval Aviator on eternal CAP...

Fair winds and following seas Fred.

Tomorrow was going to be a really nice day for me. I was driving up to New Hampshire to attend the wedding of one of our S/O's, a Brigadier General, Rick M. Now however, it will be a very long day as I'll also attend the funeral of our friend and fellow pilot, Fred Buesser. I've knew him since he started at FedEx, and although we weren't all that close, we talked a number of times when he was running for the MEC and I did consider him a friend and want to be there for his family as well as for FedEx. May he rest in peace.

Fred was always forthright, dependable and true to character. I'll always remember his firm handshake as he looked you squarely in the eye with a smile. It was always obvious when Fred was in the AOC. He had a voice that carried for miles. Whatever his mission, he tackled it with determination and gusto. Fred was a good friend, and I will miss him.
