Fedex MEC Member passing
Fedex Ladies and Gentlemen:
I was only passed minor details, but Fedex MEC member and Fedex Captain, Fred B, passed over the weekend in what appears to have been a motorcycle accident. Please keep his family in your thoughts, and if you have questions, please contact the MEC. Best Regards to all. |
Good guy ... very sorry to hear this. I'll keep him and his family in my thoughts and prayers.

Although I am not FedEx, I came to know Fred as a most ethical, moral, hardworking, trustworthy, straight shootiing man. We first communicated around the time he decided to run for block rep, and we continued to occasionally email about other things such as life, philosophy etc.
Fred, I hope to see you in a better place. |

Fred was one of the good guys. A fun and professional guy that I always enjoyed flying with. He had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed by all his friends. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to his family. RIP Fred.

I raised a glass tonight in his memory - I know he would have approved.
He will be missed by everyone who knew him. |
A single malt salute to a fine aviator and good friend... Cheers Fred
|
Thank you, Fred. Rest now.
Sincerely, fbh |
Shocking news on a great guy who was a true line-pilot advocate.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Fred's family. God Bless. DLax |
All motorcycle riders out there please be careful. In addition to the tragic loss of the Fedex Captain, the United MEC just notified us of the loss of one our 777 F/Os in a another motorcycle accident on 28 May.

Did not know Fred other than as my Block rep. I appreciated his insight and his passion as a pilot advocate, and was looking forward to his leadership through our upcoming negotiations. He will be missed.
The e-mail mentioned his four children. Can anyone tell me if they were still living with him? Also, if there is a new election, I hope DS runs again. I think he is still in that block, and I appreciate his views and recognize his passion as well. RIP Fred. My heart goes out to your wife and family. hf |
Fred was a truly passionate and compassionate individual. It was always a pleasure to fly with him.
All the best to Fred's family. |
Tonight, I raise a glass to a fellow Naval Aviator on eternal CAP...
Fair winds and following seas Fred. |
Tomorrow was going to be a really nice day for me. I was driving up to New Hampshire to attend the wedding of one of our S/O's, a Brigadier General, Rick M. Now however, it will be a very long day as I'll also attend the funeral of our friend and fellow pilot, Fred Buesser. I've knew him since he started at FedEx, and although we weren't all that close, we talked a number of times when he was running for the MEC and I did consider him a friend and want to be there for his family as well as for FedEx. May he rest in peace.

Fred was always forthright, dependable and true to character. I'll always remember his firm handshake as he looked you squarely in the eye with a smile. It was always obvious when Fred was in the AOC. He had a voice that carried for miles. Whatever his mission, he tackled it with determination and gusto. Fred was a good friend, and I will miss him.
