Sts-107

Eight years ago today we lost 7 of our brothers and sisters in the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. They made the ultimate sacrifice for God and Country by risking their lives to improve our world through science, technology and space exploration.

RIP you brave souls, and more importantly THANK YOU.

yes feb 1 2003 where do the years go

appreciative of this thread - i dont know what triggered the memory
but last two days rewatching youtubes about the tragedy

and tho hindsight is 20/20 it is difficult not to be ... it does cause frustration to know now that by the 2nd
day engineers raised the question of possible wing damage

would it have made any difference? who's to know?

whatever they went out living their lives to the hilt
we should all be so fortunate, no?

peace
