Air Force general, an expert pilot, crashes plane in Virginia - The Washington Post

I'm sure there are members of the forum who have flown with, or under his command.

He was my former B-1 Group Commander at Ellsworth AFB. Tragic loss to the bomber community and the US Air Force. His wife Susan died in the crash with her husband.

This reminds me of I an Ellsworth based B-1 pilot who died about a year ago. I think he was flying a Mooney with his wife, too. :(

Keep in mind, this is all my recollection.

I had the privilege of working with Major General Brown at National Defense University. What sad news. The finest flag officer of any service I have ever dealt with in many years of service.
