Default First UAL/CAL and now AA/CAL?

This could get interesting. It looks like AA might want to bid CAL up to make it expensive for UAL.

UAL will have to give up some Asian routes to AA when they merge with CAL. Bush will bless the merger if AA gets a little piece. Just what I've heard

The million dollar question!

It would be in the hands of an arbitrator. Relative seniority?

Didn't AA have people on furlough when they bought TWA, then brought back the AA guys just to fourlough the TWA guys? Guess it would be different from a buyout and a merger.

No we were actually hiring roughly 108 pilots a month..... Not sure where that rumor came from, but you can put that one to rest here and now.

"But it's widely thought American is too large to win Justice Department approval for a merger."

"This could get interesting. It looks like AA might want to bid CAL up to make it expensive for UAL."

There goes that theory!
