Which merger will be easier for pilots?

NWA/DAL for sure. UAL pilots will never accept any "scabs" senior to them. I don't know how many are left and I know ALPA has accepted them in to the fold but I doubt the line UAL pilots will be as forgiving.

I'd like to see all scabs gone in an ALPA merger.

It will be easier for the UAL and CAL pilots to accept the DAL/NW merger. Likewise, it will be easier for the DAL and NW pilots to accept the UAL and CAL merger.
For the pilots actually involved in the merger, it will not be easy and regardless of what happens, it will not be deemed 'fair'.

Neither, that's like saying which is less painful, getting shot or getting stabbed...it's gonna hurt for some just the same. Best of luck to them all, and guys don't forget; not long after the majors are done changing paint, here comes the regional mergers.

UAL had 1000 scabs on the list origianally themselves. They still have some scabs left. I doubt if this will cause a sticking point. We only have about 400left at CAL. Thanks to 65 they'll be around another 5 years.

Please note that the US Airways/AWA seniority integration is far from decided. Check back in another month or two. It turns out that ALPA only provides a "process" and does not have a merger policy. Anything goes. Check out the USAPA info on the forum.
