I don't like it when people use that as an excuse to work somewhere because at the drop of a hat they could stall and you're stuck there. We want better FO pay and honestly I think we'll really get it. Odds are most the FOs you're talking to are new with the way upgrades have been going. Of course they'll say first year pay blows lol. I don't know any place that doesn't. Even ups.

No you are right....its crappy all across the board....but my point is that since its bigger equipment..maybe have it start slightly less crappy at like 28/29 an hour.

Hey any of you RAH guys know an Argentinian FO who goes by the name of "Lucky"???? I used to live with him...I know he had an interview scheduled with Polar Air...i just wanted to know if he got it or not

I've developed a lot of inside 170 jokes with captains. Everytime you hear me refer to it as a regional jet on the radio...we're laughing afterwards :D I work here, and I've seen more than my share of exactly what you're talking about...it gets old quick. Especially when it's coming from someone that's 800 numbers below you on the seniority list. My fellow 145'ers can probably back me up on this.

There's nothing funny about it. Just a logical conclusion. DAL and NWA would be swapping stocks. DAL would not be the one with majority control. At any case, in order for NWA/DAL to build up and "spinoff" as you say, they would need to expand Mesaba and Compass so they can fetch the best price. To do this, they are going to reduce flying doled out to regionals not owned by NWA/DAL. No such thing as an ironclad contract. We'll see in the coming years.

You think NWA would have majority control??? Come on now..........

The "regional" flying belongs to Continental Airlines, and they do what they please with it, they can give it to a company, and just as easily take it away.

Furthermore the preacher at RAH has stated over and over that you guys are to get away from 50 seaters, so by default I see the CAL flying going away, unless he's willing to invest on Q400's.

For someone that claims he's been in the industry as long as you say you have, you sure take things personal....

That Kool-Aid stainin' your shirt yet???

Where's he based? It's not CMH is it? If so is he called "Lucky" because he only has one eye?

Go figure you only need three good eyes in a cockpit lol.

Yeah. When they say, "Follow the E-Jet to 28R," I love to respond, "Ok, we'll follow company." Ooh. And I do have almost 800 guys behind me.

No, I did not state that NWA will have the majority control. I said NWA and DAL will be swapping stocks. It will probably be an even swap. Neither DAL nor NWA will have the majority control. Who will manage the combined entity is anybody's guess, but it looks like the current DAL management might wind up running the combined airline.

Let me know if you have any information to the contrary. I'd be interested to learn about them.

Scope is about the only thing that Cal held onto in the last pos contract. If we remain independent we will not give up scope. With a merger I don't know what will happen to scope, but I can promise I will fight tooth and nail to keep it.

No no I'm with you on that......that DAL would end up running the combined airline.
